Hello Brandon,

i installed today Icom IC-R8500, but need some help while implementing the sliders for the receiver. Especially Squelch and IF-Shift. (note, the status of the sliders cant be read from Receiver via CIV, the value can only be set).

I use HRD for steering the radio. If i open RemoteHams Website the sliders for squelch and if shift are at full right with state "unknown". But the initial state for squelch should be 0 (slider at full left) and 128 for if-shift (slider at the middle, so users can change the IF to left or right if needed. If i use the slider and set squelch to 100, so it will be set correctly on the Icom but after 2 seconds the slider in RCF will jump to full right again and says "unknown". This can confusing remoteusers, because it is set to 100, but RCF says its at full 255.

I hope you understand what i mean :-) My english is not 100%, sorry.

I guess it will be usefull to set these commands via CIV, while open the RemoteFlash to know the value set by the Receiver.
Shift should be set to middle (128) and squelch (0) It is possible to implement this in RCF?

additional details:
--------------------------
| Advanced: R8500   | IF shift              | Cmd = 14-04, Min = 0, Max = 255
| Advanced: R8500   | Squelch            | Cmd = 14-03, Min = 0, Max =255
--------------------------

thx, regards André
