I'd rather not be back with HRD and its crashes. And it now appears that the reason DL3BAA's IC760 is working properly is that he is using HRD, so that's counterproductive too. Hamlib has been around for years. Why is it so buggy?

Is it possible there is problem with the chat mode? At least twice my post have been lost if there is another post occuring roughly simultaneously. Does that make any sense at all? I swear I am not dreaming it up.

Normally this happens when the flash client appears to be connected  and you try to chat....it happened to me a couple times  but i just logged out and back in  to get re-connected...as that was the cause for me...

I do need to clean up some error handling in the Flash client, that detects lost connects etc,  so it doesn't look like it should be working whenin fact its not Wink

Some testing we can do,  if you do notice a chat not work,   refresh the page to re-connect,  if your chat shows up  then  the server did in fact receive the chat....if not we do have  a bug in RCF,   if the chat is there   its a bug in the Flash client...

Hi,

Latest update. Now running with HRD. All features showing are working properly, but most of the A/B VFO management buttons are missing.

curently  only 6 buttons, 4 dropdows and 3 sliders are displayed  in the flash client, i am working on adding a "paging" type dispay of them, this way if more than 6 buttons are available you can click on a next page button  to see the rest of them...while this is developed i rwecommend setting the features you findmost inmportant   in RCFwizard under the Security tab under global buttons, global dropdows, global sliders,  you may also click on the "Get Buttons" to get a list of the available radio features,  then sort through the list moving the features you need most to the front of the list....hope this helps   have to run  holdin baby Emma

It may also be that some functions aren't available at all via the text server!
To do a simple check with HRD open DM780 and connect to the radio in HRD, then using the configure tab see what functions are available.
If the one you want isn't there then Simon didn't include it.

OK, I more or less made the same observation. The buttons not showing are already lowest on the priority list. I don't think many people are uning the A/B VFO management buttons although they are convenient to hop back and forth between 2 frequencies.

Working on adding more buttons right now,  i'll go for 4 more,  how i'm going todo it,  is make it so you still see the original 6,  but when your mouse hovers over the buttons,  the rest of them become visiable,   i'm doing this just for you Knut....lets see how long it takes me now...

Updated flash file that supports 10 buttons, not 6  Wink

Please right click and choose Save As,  left clicking will just load the flash file in your browser...Save to  "RCF/data/html/radio.swf"  when you hover your mouse of the original 6 buttons,  you will see 4 more show up   if available... the four new buttons that show up,  are semi transparent over the chat box...

Now it's installed and working. The A/B button seems redundant.

In RCF wizard where the button string is, just delete the the bit that says (probably) A/B, including the comma then save and exit. restart the server and that button should've gone.
